Tennantcast 35 – All The Single Ladies

We have absolutely no clue where you all have been, but in this special episode 175 we have a fantastic time discussing all of David’s new roles – one potentially romantic role with Billie Piper, one where he could be a ZOMBIE and sounds like Eli Roth should direct it, and one where he’s a single daddy. Kelsey clearly has speech problems in this episode, or a general lack of which one’s a husband and wife, Kari poses very philosophically deep questions like “can a guinea pig be bisexual?” and Flossie has a very important announcement to make to our dear listeners at the end of the episode. Though this episode was recorded in like, February, it still contains important information and valuable lessons, like cracking one’s Oscar and distributing it evenly to the losers, and how much we love Bernard Cribbins, and how we clearly must all be single in prerequisite of running this sort of podcast.

But seriously, there’s a very important message at the end – we’d love to have you on the show!

Tennantcast #28 – Ch-ch-ch-DAVID!*

Tennantcast_Logo Same old excuse as always – the girls enjoy a very humorous, off-topic discussion, fueled by Kelsey’s dad’s idea of having Tennantcast commercials. We came up with Tennantcast merchandise (imaginary, of course), including Chia pet David’s (to explain for the rapidly growing hair), crochet and knit dolls of the man made by Flossie and Kari, stained glass, and my father’s favorite, David Tennant alphabet soup. A very long winded discussion of Waters of Mars ensues, which was enjoyed by all three girls although it was far too scary for children, our favorite part being when David speaks alien. Kelsey nearly has a monologue of her thoughts of Dreamland (at last, my revenge, I watch something they haven’t!) and Flossie tells us about La Cage Aux Folles, and Kari shares with us her lovely wallpaper! Our picture comment of the day is a rather old shoot from the early 90’s, in which we discover most of us were between 1-5 years old when it was taken (EWW!). We wrap it all up with part two of Only Human – which was no better than the first, yet entertaining no less.

Tennantcast#27 – My Precious

Tennantcast_Logo A short episode this time! For this recording, Kelsey and Kari are there (kind of like old times) since Flossie can’t be with them because of a recording mix-up. But as her spirit is there, the two girls talk about David and Pudsey, reading bedtime stories (in which Kari has been waiting for this moment) and how David narrowly missed Zachary Quinto at the NTAs (in which Kelsey would have combusted and died from) but he’s still with the lovely Catherine Tate. They watched the St. Trinian’s II trailer (giggling like bmmad) and will be watching the rest of the video, plus Waters of Mars and Dreamland discussions will be on next time because Flossie threatened if she heard “waters” and “mars” in the same sentence. Of course picture comment of the day is always an inspirational moment and the big hub that started it all, Tennantively, has a brand spanking new layout!

Tennantcast #26 – Absolute David

Tennantcast_Logo In this week’s episode of Tennantcast, Kelsey, Kari and Flossie discuss the news of David’s week including some news about Rex Is Not Your Lawyer and his 3-day stint on Absolute Radio’s The OC with Christian O’Connell where much jealousy is expressed over Steven (who you’ll have heard on Episode 12) getting to phone in and talk with David directly. David’s bed gets talked about, as does the first teaser for the movie version of David’s Hamlet. Even John Barrowman isn’t safe as there’s much squeeing at his shiny take on Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”. And yes, it’s official! David has been voted the sexiest British man, as if there was any doubt!

This week’s Picture Comment comes from the much-watched webcam set up at The OC’s studio and the character series is back with a look at the first part of Only Human, a pilot David made several years ago that never got picked up for series. And of course the girls wonder what might have happened to David’s career if he’d become famous from this rather than becoming known later on in Casanova and Doctor Who.

Tennantcast #23 – A Pretty Piece of Meat

Tennantcast_Logo Possibly the longest new segment ever in Tennantcast history (extending the entire episode), the girls begin with talk of Hamlet airing on Christmas. After the biggest blonde moments in history from one host forgetting what year she was living in, the girls get fume over a nasty comment said by Jude Law (bashing involved, Law fans are advised to cover their ears…) To make up for lack of Character Series, we watch the Sarah Jane Adventures trailer – but there’s not enough David!!!! Kelsey’s fear of Secret Smile has mysteriously overnight been conquered, and she also got her “grubby paws” on Under the Radar this week – which leads to an incredibly strange discussion of whether or not David would still have his magic if he was “Uber” fat (we’re talking medical show fat, all you decent weight people!) Much to the chagrin of Flossie, we invent some of those awful celebrity couple mash up names for David and Georgia – or Dorgia Tennoffit. The Burke & Hare controversy wraps up the news, and after our Picture Comment of the Day which features a half naked shaving David, Flossie ends us with an awesome review of Speaking in Tongues!

Certain hosts WERE harmed in the making of this podcast, but you won’t get to hear about that until the blooper reel!

Tennantcast #22 – Cool People Wear Elk

Tennantcast #22 begins in confusion amongst the girls as to what’s been talked about (covering one’s ears does not help), and watching the “privileged” adverts because Flossie spotted Nigel Havers in the upcoming SJA. Kari recounts the AWESOME story of being emailed by Under the Radar magazine’s Senior Editor and Publisher. In late news, the girls gush over the cuteness of David and Georgia together as the Speaking in Tongues premiere, a very rare thing to find fangirls doing. The news discussion then winds down with a heated discussion of why David could possibly be in LA (very funny, because now a week later we know), and our discontentment with David possibly being more famous in America. In the picture comment of the day, we decide that cool people wear Elk shirts and get distracted by Chris’s Skype instant messages about moosey wooseys and mooseses, where certain hosts get on a tangent about roadkill… but alas, bringing back up the character series, the girls enjoy watching David’s hilarious part in “Dead Ringers” which leads us to retire and watch Tom Baker impersonations.

Tennantcast #21 – Please Don’t Touch Paul McCartney

Tennantcast_Logo Once again the character series is destined for another episode but in its stead there are promises of a Tennantcast promo with hopes of drawing more David Tennant fans to the fold. Character series suggestions are still needed, feel free to leave them in the comments.

In the news this week, David has been nominated for ‘Best Actor’ by the TV Times, leading our three hosts to discuss the competition. Managing to tie in The Beatles, Kari and Kelsey show they aren’t just David Tennant fangirls but also big Beatles fans, something regular listeners will no doubt already know. Also in the news, David attended the West End premiere of Speaking in Tongues featuring John Simm and Flossie earned some jealousy from American fans by having tickets. They investigate Sarah Jane Adventures pictures and the question is asked, what IS Under the Radar magazine (featuring tall and Scottish David Tennant this month). The picture comment of the day delights and confuses our hosts as they ponder a snapshot from David reading for Virgin Radio while apparently dressed in full costume for the role!

Tennantcast #19 – Alternate Uses of the Plunger Hand

Tennantcast #19 sets sail with yer piratey wenches Kelsey, Kari, and Flossie as they gather ‘round to celebrate international Talk Like a Pirate day (recorded 9/19/09), because Captain Tennant himself has a famous audio clip of pirate talk! The wenches blabber on about the Sarah Jane adventures set up at the Thames Festival and list what sort of trouble they would get themselves into to wind up in Headmaster David’s office (let it be known Tennantcast is NOT advocating people to Rick roll or consume test papers in pursuit). The wenches be eyein’ a Casanova photoshoot with pleasure, it being the most Pirate-ish one available, which leads to spyin’ in on a horribly realistic Japanese Doctor Who manipulation. For the Character Series, the wenches weigh in discussion of The Bill, which tells a tale of a young Captain Tennant with awful hair abducting a 15 year old girl, in which Flossie enlightens us with fun facts of the tube station the beginning scenes were filmed at.

Tennantcast #18 – Scottish Leopard Men

Tennantcast_Logo This week on Tennantcast, parents are frightened by David Tennant and Doctor Who knowledge while discussion follows swiftly about David as a leopard! The far more tame news segment features Kelsey, Kari and Flossie discussing Masterpiece Contemporary, the possibility of David with an American accent and his involvement with a radio adaptation of Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice and Men.’ Never missing a chance to improve on their previous efforts, the cleaner and more stylish Tennantcast website is praised.

This week’s picture comment features David with headphones, spawning plans in Kelsey’s brain for a new Tennantcast logo. Time stalls these plans (photoshopping at midnight is never a wise idea) and not a moment too soon as your three hosts soon take up discussion about the 2005 remake of “The Quatermass Experiment” for this week’s Character series. It went out live, don’t ya know?

Tennantcast #17 – I’m a pony!

David Tennant? Fabio?! Richard Simmons?!? CopyofCopyoftennantcast2copy This and so much more is discussed in a very lively and laughter-filled episode of Tennantcast. Your hosts Kelsey, Kari, and Flossie have quite a merry discussion of what David’s alternative jobs could be, which lead into a game once played between our previous editor and Kelsey. Our news segment was mostly filled with discussion of absurd laws, short term memory, and if David likes roller coasters. Our Picture Comment of the Day poses an important question of “what would you do if you found David tied to your bed like in the Friday Night Project episode?” and is answered with yet another picture that begs the question of one’s reaction if you found him staring in your window with “that face”. Our Character Series had some technical difficulties with server issues, so we decided to get the smallest role out of the way – his one liner in Jude. All of this is topped with the cherry of terrible photo manipulations and a certain enthusiastic dance instructor.
