Tennantcast #30 – I’ll Sign Your Autograph When I Have a Free Hand

Tennantcast_Logo Welcome to the first ever (hopefully annual) Tennantcast Christmas Special! We have a very exciting, very giddy, very entertaining special for you all, even with some added surprises! We are joined by a very sleepy, yet faithful friend George (and the clock!) as we enjoy a very light, conversational episode. We don’t break tradition with our news segment, in which we discuss the Hamlet and St. Trinian’s trailers, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, and the Oxford Climate Change videos Kelsey’s class almost saw! Our most talked about news piece was certainly the new photos floating around of David in Rex is not your Lawyer playing golf… Or putt-putt! Again, not breaking tradition, our Picture Comment of the Day is a screencap from Nevermind the Buzzcocks, in which David looks particularly cranky (or about to kill.) We sort of fall into a holiday discussion of Santa/Father Christmas stories. Kelsey and Flossie *freak* out when we both discover we watch the Muppet Christmas Carol every year as our Christmas tradition. The episode winds down with a very humorous discussion of the most awful scenarios in which we meet David (and our audience finally discovers what a duck CALLER is!)

Tennantcast #26 – Absolute David

Tennantcast_LogoIn this week’s episode of Tennantcast, Kelsey, Kari and Flossie discuss the news of David’s week including some news about Rex Is Not Your Lawyer and his 3-day stint on Absolute Radio’s The OC with Christian O’Connell where much jealousy is expressed over Steven (who you’ll have heard on Episode 12) getting to phone in and talk with David directly. David’s bed gets talked about, as does the first teaser for the movie version of David’s Hamlet. Even John Barrowman isn’t safe as there’s much squeeing at his shiny take on Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”. And yes, it’s official! David has been voted the sexiest British man, as if there was any doubt!

This week’s Picture Comment comes from the much-watched webcam set up at The OC’s studio and the character series is back with a look at the first part of Only Human, a pilot David made several years ago that never got picked up for series. And of course the girls wonder what might have happened to David’s career if he’d become famous from this rather than becoming known later on in Casanova and Doctor Who.

Tennantcast #24 – Checkers anyone?

Tennantcast_LogoIn this week’s Tennantcast we have a special guest host to fill in while Flossie is on holiday and Kari is ill. Going off topic is the theme of the day where discussions of The Office, mullets and plastic bags (among other things) are the norm, though as always there’s news about David. There’s talk of the London Film Festival premiere of Glorious 39, including the mention of David’s, ahem, fashion sense at the premiere. David is also on The Sarah Jane Adventures so naturally that gets a shout out, as does his upcoming guest appearance on The Graham Norton Show in early November along with much more! Join Kelsey and Sara for some Tennant and not-so-Tennant fun!

Tennantcast #23 – A Pretty Piece of Meat

Tennantcast_LogoPossibly the longest new segment ever in Tennantcast history (extending the entire episode), the girls begin with talk of Hamlet airing on Christmas. After the biggest blonde moments in history from one host forgetting what year she was living in, the girls get fume over a nasty comment said by Jude Law (bashing involved, Law fans are advised to cover their ears…) To make up for lack of Character Series, we watch the Sarah Jane Adventures trailer – but there’s not enough David!!!! Kelsey’s fear of Secret Smile has mysteriously overnight been conquered, and she also got her “grubby paws” on Under the Radar this week – which leads to an incredibly strange discussion of whether or not David would still have his magic if he was “Uber” fat (we’re talking medical show fat, all you decent weight people!) Much to the chagrin of Flossie, we invent some of those awful celebrity couple mash up names for David and Georgia – or Dorgia Tennoffit. The Burke & Hare controversy wraps up the news, and after our Picture Comment of the Day which features a half naked shaving David, Flossie ends us with an awesome review of Speaking in Tongues!

Certain hosts WERE harmed in the making of this podcast, but you won’t get to hear about that until the blooper reel!

Tennantcast #20 – The Morrisseycast

Tennantcast_LogoWe’re double our ten – we’ve reached twenty episodes! Speaking of twenties, Kari just turned 21 the 23 of September so yay for legallness! (in the US atleast). Apparently Kelsey and Kari aren’t so popular on their birthday but Flossie shares a birthday with the likes of Kurt Cobain, Gordon Brown and Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys. For the news we talk about Glorious 39 and how John Barrowman hearts David. Please note there ARE spoilers here and if you don’t want to listen to them there will be a warning before hand telling which time you can conveniently jump to to avoid them. For picture comment of the day Flossie expresses her admiration for David Morrissey during the David/David tango in Blackpool. Another break from the character series, we do a little bit of 411 on David’s favorite things – and proven not so favorite things with the girls. Chris also makes his first “real” appearance discussing British politics *gasp* Stay tuned for a special little “behind the scenes” surprise if you will later on!
